2010 - 2011 Rotary District 5870
District Assistance Program (DAP)
(Local Humanitarian Grants)
What is a District Simplified Grant?
Under the Rotary International District Simplified Grant (DSG) guidelines, District Assistance Program grants (DAP) provide an opportunity for Rotarians to use District Designated Funds (DDF) to undertake projects in local communities. Administration of the District Assistance Program is by the Foundation Grants Sub-Committee of the District .
DAP grants will provide funding for humanitarian community service projects that involves the active, personal participation of Rotarians. The projects should serve as a means of enhancing the communities in District 5870 and/or improving the lives of the less fortunate in each community.
Who can apply for a District Simplified Grant?
Any Rotary Club that supports The Rotary Foundation by successfully raising funds for the Annual Funds Program. Such giving is the source of the funds for the DAP grants.
What are the Rotary Foundation requirements of a District Simplified Grant?
