Rick and Teresa Price
A retired United States Naval Officer, Ricky E. Price is founder and President of Flagship FastLube Auto Service Centers in Hawaii. A Hawaii corporation comprised of automotive fast lube centers and tire dealerships that operate in the top one percent of centers in the nation.
Rick and his Hawaii Company have been recognized as the “Business of the Year” by the Rotary Club of Wahiawa/Waialua, and as the “Upcoming/Emerging Hawaii Retailer, by the Retail Merchants of Hawaii Association. He was honored as “Employer of the Year” by the Small Business Administration and President Clinton for his work with the Welfare to Work Program and his success in moving families and individuals from welfare to productive employees. He has been active with the Automotive Oil Change Association headquartered in Dallas, Texas for 18 years and currently serves as Treasurer of the organization.
A native Texan Rick has lived and traveled around the world. He was born in Mexia, Texas and attended Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas and later graduated from Midwest College of Business and Commerce in Pueblo, Colorado. After a short stint as a telegrapher/agent with the Kansas City Southern Railroad, he entered the United States Navy in 1966 where he served for the next 22 years. His last duty assignment prior to retirement in 1988 was as Force Communications Officer, Commander Naval Air Forces Pacific Fleet.
In 1984 Rick married the love of his life, the former Ms Teresa Belcher. Teresa is a retired Naval Officer having served more and 24 years and whose last duty assignment was as Protocol Officer for Commander-in-Chief Pacific Fleet. Teresa is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Mexia.
Rick joined the Rotary Club Wahiawa/Waialua (District 5000) in 1994 where he served on the board of directors for 7 years. He served as Vocational Service Chair, Community Service Chair, Rotary Foundation Chair, numerous subcommittee positions, Vice President, President-elect and President. In 2001 he joined the Rotary Club of Mexia (District 5870) and served as Vocational Chair, Rotary Foundation Chair, President-Elect and Club President 2002-2003. At the District level he served as District Trainer, Assistant Governor 2003-2005 and Lieutenant Governor 2005-2006. He has served on District Governor Selection Committees, GSE Team and Team Leader Selection Committees, Roll of Fame Committee, Ambassadorial Scholarship Committees and numerous other scholarship committees.
He served as Chair of D5000 Foundation Gala in 2009 and D5870 Foundation Dinner in 2010. Business necessitated his return to D5000 2007-2009 but he rejoined D5870 in July 2009.
Rick and Teresa are Level Two Major Donors to The Rotary Foundation and are Benefactors. They have three grown children and six grandchildren. They love to entertain and travel, and thoroughly enjoy fellowship with Rotarians around the world.
