Gonzalo "Doc" Garza and Curtis Burson won gold medals for their respective age groups in the horseshoe competition at the U.S. Senior Olympics.

The Olympics were held Aug. 10-12 in San Jose, Calif. Garza and Burson are from Sun City Texas.

Garza went undefeated in the 80-84 age group, after finishing sixth in his last trip to the Senior Olympics in 2007.

Burson won six of his last seven games in the finals of the 70-74 age group to win the gold.
