Who Will Be Your Club's Roll Of Fame Nomiation?
The Roll of Fame, which was instituted in the 1957-58 Rotary Year, is each club’s chance to honor one of their own for service to their club and to Rotary. This is an honor that can only be awarded once to an individual and requires active participation both at the club and district level.
The District web site, www.rotarydistrict5870.com, has all of the criteria and will soon have the updated nomination form. The form is due February 15, 2008. Please send it to the Roll of Fame Chair, Barbara Bozon c/o Central Texas Housing Consortium, P O Box 1326 Temple TX 76503-1326. It would be very helpful if you would also email the form to her at execdir@centexhousing.org. This will make it easier to distribute the nominations for review to the committee members that are spread throughout the district. Once the nominations are reviewed, the club presidents and the nominees will be officially notified of their selection for this honor.
The awards will be presented at the District Conference in Austin that will be held May 1-4, 2008. Honorees are strongly encouraged to attend the awards ceremony so that their fellow Rotarians can recognize their achievement. Family members are also welcome to attend and be a part of the celebration.
If you have questions please feel free to email Barbara or call her at 254-773-2009 extension 205. Every club is encouraged to submit a nomination so that we can thank our members for their service.
